Leave It Behind

Leave It Behind is an interactive performance that interrogates what intimacy, community, and privacy mean today. I encourage participants to leave behind a tiny physical piece of themselves that represents some thought or experience they want to leave behind them, and to tell the story of what they've left behind and why. For instance, a strand of hair might symbolize leaving behind the idea that you’re not beautiful, or a fingernail might represent leaving behind a tendency to pick at old hurts.
