COMMEMORATIONS is a limited edition work of conceptual art.
A champagne bottle that commemorates Barack Obama's inauguration and two glasses saying HOPE on one side and Change on the other rest on custom-made packing paper. Each slip of paper commemorates a different African-American "first" in the fields of politics, science, academia, and the arts. The entire work is held in a vintage wooden crate.
In COMMEMORATIONS Obama's victory literally rests on top of hundreds of years of history.
